Executive Team Bios

Jamie Shield is a founding Principal of PartnerJD and has a diverse background in the human capital and finance industries. Jamie's recent experience includes serving as a Managing Director for International Financial Group, IFG, in Richmond helping private and public sector clients attract and retain talented accounting and finance professionals on the bases of contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent placement. Prior to managing IFG Richmond, Jamie spent five years in an investment advisory capacity, four years in the Virginia municipal finance/investment-banking arena, and in a senior management role in the automotive finance business.

Jamie's extensive business development background includes creating and personally hosting the "Morgan Keegan Investment Review," which is broadcast on Richmond cable television. The program's guest list has included securities analysts, portfolio managers from numerous local/regional financial firms, senior managers of local private and publicly traded corporations, and former Federal Reserve Bank President J. Alfred Broaddus.

While serving as the Development Officer for Virginia Resources Authority and as an Associate Vice President with Davenport & Company's Public Finance Department, Jamie closed 48 tax-exempt new issue and refunding bond transactions totaling $186,528,551.00 for Virginia municipalities from 2001 to 2005. These transactions raised capital and refinanced outstanding debt for public improvement projects across the commonwealth.

Jamie holds a BS in Political Science from the College of Charleston and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.
